How did the universe of the Apeilous come together?
From 2013 to 2019, I wrote seven novel drafts set in universes similar to that of the Apeilous. Since then, I took the most compatible and compelling elements, characters, and histories from each and created the SVF Series.

What is the future?
A flat, interconnected post-gay society with ubiquitous public transport. Note that no society in the SVF Series actually achieves this, though some get very close.

Most sci-fi is actually sci-fa; scientific/physics consultant should be a common job in the literary world.
Many sci-fi settings are too big. One does not need a galaxy to have a huge civilization.

Thoughts on the human condition?
Poor. The third place, the community-level institution, is both vital and scarce. Note how the most successful characters in my books either seek out meaningful community or make their own.
